Missouri Woman Acquitted of Statutory Sodomy

A Missouri woman was charged with statutory sodomy after her daughter alleged that she had shown her pornography and touched her genitals. Attorney Brian Cooke assisted Phil Eisenhauer in the trial. During the trial, we put on evidence that the accuser had fabricated the story at the behest of the other parent to win an going custody dispute. Attorney Cooke also forced the state’s CAC interviewer to admit that children are unrealiable and corroboration is important. On cross, the lead detective admitted that he conducted a forensic examination of our client’s phone and laptop and there was no corroboration for the allegation. The Jury returned a not guilty verdict in just over one hour.
