A ticket from Florissant Police goes to the Florissant Municipal Court, a division of the 21st Judicial Circuit. Florissant’s prosecutor takes recommendation requests by mail only, so it helps to have a lawyer who knows the routine.
Quick answer: Florissant Municipal Court is at 4575 Washington Street. Court meets about nine times a month, in person only. A lawyer files an entry of appearance on Case.net, then mails a separate recommendation request to the prosecutor. The request does not continue your court date.
Can a lawyer get a Florissant ticket reduced?
In many cases, yes. For traffic tickets, we can often get the charge amended down to a non-moving violation, which puts no points on your license. For other ordinance offenses, we can also often get the charge amended to littering. However, every case is different, so we cannot promise a result.

How we handle a Florissant Municipal Court ticket
- E-file our entry of appearance. Florissant’s Local Rule 21 requires e-filing on Case.net.
- Mail the recommendation request. We send the prosecutor a copy of the entry, a stamped return envelope, and any proof that helps, such as insurance or registration. Filing the entry alone does not request a recommendation.
- Gather the right proof. For driving while suspended or revoked or no license, Florissant will not amend the charge without proof of reinstatement, a hardship or limited privilege, or a license. For crashes, an insurance card is not enough; the prosecutor wants a letter from your insurer.
- Watch the court date. If no recommendation arrives in three weeks, we follow up. Because the request does not continue the case, we ask the court for a continuance when needed.
- Review, sign and file. We explain the offer, its fine and costs, and any points, and file the signed plea.
